Main venue

The​ main venue for the conference is the University Main Building (“Universitetshuset”), conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the city center.

The University Main Building was built in the 1880s. At the time, it housed all the University’s activities. Since then, the University has grown a lot and today it is spread throughout the city. The University Main Building is still used for lectures, conferences, concerts and university ceremonies.

A manned wardrobe will be available on 9 November and 11 November if you wish to store your luggage. Please note that there will be no wardrobe available on 10 November.

Venue for the PhD Candidate Workshop on 9 November

The​ PhD Candidate Workshop will take place at the Ångström Laboratory starting with a lunch at 12.00 served in room 106-150.

Delegates, who registered to the PhD Candidate Workshop, shall arrange their own journey to the Ångström Laboratory.

The conference organisers will provide transport to Uppsala University Main Buidling so delegates, who registered to the PhD Candidate Workshop, can attend the Welcome reception.
